How to buy Editstock for the classroom

This article describes everything there is to know about ordering editing projects for your classroom. If you have any questions outside of what's described or would like to speak to someone, please contact us in the chat or connect via email at support@editstock.com.

At the end of this article we've added a description of package deals that you may want to consider.

The Order Process

Ordering online with a credit card is the easiest method. Start by choosing any project from the library. Choose the multi-user license option to use the footage with your students.

Ordering with a purchase order typically requires that we first send you a quote.

Sometimes schools require additional signatures before purchases. We can do that if you email us. It's also important to know that EditStock is not software and does not collect student data including PII data. We do not complete software forms, and do not provide a VPAT.

Purchase Orders: How to Request a Quote

Chat or email us with the projects you'd like to order and we will send you a quote. Include the number of projects you'd like to order. It's not required that you name the specific projects, just the total number.

Use the quote to get a purchase order from your department and email it to us. At that point we will send you download links to the footage. We do not need to collect payment before sending you the download links as long as we have the PO.

Please email any vendor forms to use via email and not through the chat. Here's a link to download our w9 in case you need it.

Timeline: When do you need the material? Do you need it by the start of the semester, or do you have more flexibility? This helps us plan delivery if you order source files.

Purchase Orders: Sending to EditStock

Once we receive the purchase order we will deliver you download links. This is a manual process, so it can take up to 24 hours to get your links. Typically, you get them much quicker.

The purchase order should include an email address to whom we can send an invoice.

Pricing and Discounts

EditStock projects are a one-time cost, not a subscription. Pricing is not determined by the number of students in your classroom but rather by the number of projects you'd like to order.

EditStock Educational Packages save you money when you order three or more films. The lowest prices come when you order five. We also have package deals for ordering camera source material. You can share the footage across departments. The limit for the license is for one campus.

Resolution needs: In what resolution will your students edit? The standard file delivery is H264 at either 1080p or 4K depending on our source material. You can also order the camera source files for an additional fee. In that case, we will mail you an SSD hard drive that you get to keep.

What to Expect After You Order

Projects are delivered with organized media, scripts or transcripts, and everything students need to start editing. If you need the material in a specific format or configuration, let us know before you order and we'll try to accommodate.

If you ordered camera source material hard drives typically ship within 72 hours of the order and take an additional three days for shipping. We can speed this process up if you need the material faster than that.
