PROPER USE & LICENSE TERMS

LICENSES

  1. Individual Licenses are for one person only. They’re royalty-free and never expire.
  2. Educational Licenses are “on-site” licenses: Footage can be shared among any number of students and any number of computers as long as they share the same physical campus. Schools with multiple campuses must purchase one license per campus. Like individual licenses, educational licenses are perpetual and royalty-free.
  3. Online Training Licenses make the footage available to students for download, but only through a security protocol that ensures users are enrolled and paying tuition.
  4. All licenses are described in detail in our Terms of Use

    PROPER USE & CREDIT

    1. All works made from EditStock footage are required to display the EditStock credit logo — which is included in every download — at the front or back of the video.
    2. EditStock footage may be used for demo reels (in fact, we hope you do this). If a video is on a demo reel, an EditStock logo is not required.
    3. Completed works may be uploaded to personal websites or to video sharing sites such as YouTube, but be sure to include the EditStock credit logo.
    4. License holders may credit completed works with “edited by” and their name.
    5. Please do not credit the names or use any logos of the original filmmakers, cast, or crew. Be sure that your version of the film and the original version of the film are easily distinguishable.

        LICENSE HOLDERS MAY NOT

        1. Receive credit in the original work (e.g., on IMDb)
        2. Submit their EditStock projects to film festivals
        3. Sell or redistribute EditStock footage in any way
        4. Use EditStock footage in recorded tutorials or other products (unless the entire audience consists of tuition-paying license holders)

If these terms are violated, your license will be terminated immediately.
