How to Partner with EditStock
EditStock loves creating win-win partnerships with content creators and promotes the wellness of the filmmaking industry. For that reason, we've created several partnership opportunities for which you may be qualified.
Are you recommending EditStock to friends? Why not get paid for it? If you write an industry blog, host a YouTube channel, create free tutorials, record podcasts, present to large groups of people, or simply love to Tweet (x’eet?), EditStock is interested in partnering with you.
Qualification for Influencers
To qualify for a partnership, you must be a single person or small group of people (2-3) that create content for audiences to consume for free. You still qualify if you sell products like training or plugins, but not if a larger company sells your work product. You must have an audience of at least 1,000 followers on a single platform or have significant and relevant film industry experience.
Available Partnership Programs
You can apply to the partnership program here. The footage given to you as a gift for joining our program falls under our terms of use.
There are no marketing requirements for joining the program, but the most helpful thing you can do is add links to EditStock to your video descriptions and blog posts, talk about us on social media, and review our products.

Friend Tier
- Creators with at least 1,000 followers on a single platform are eligible to join.
- Referral link worth 10% of sales, paid every 14 days.
- Discount code for your customers of 20%
- One free product from our shop
- Make 25 referral sales within six months and get upgraded to the influencer tier automatically.
Influencer Tier
- Creators with at least 10,000 followers on a single platform are eligible to join.
- Referral link worth 10% of sales, paid every 14 days
- Discount code for your customers of 20%
- One free product from our shop each month
- Make 50 referral sales within six months and get upgraded to the partner tier automatically.
- If referrals drop below 25 in six months, then automatically transition to the friend tier.
Partner Tier
- Creators with at least 100,000 followers on a single platform are eligible to join.
- Referral link worth 15% of sales, paid every 14 days.
- Discount code for your customers of 20%
- One free product from our shop each month. You can ask for high-resolution media sent on a hard drive, free.
- If referrals drop below 25 in six months, then automatically transition to the influencer tier.

Use in Paid Products
If you’re in the partner tier, we can work out special deals on a case-by-case basis to give you footage to use in your paid products in exchange for telling your audience where it came from. Other tiers in our affiliate program do need to purchase a multi-user license if they wish to use EditStock projects in paid products.
Other Partnerships Organizations & Events
EditStock believes in building a better filmmaking community. EditStock partners with organizations of all kind that promote the art of filmmaking and support indie filmmakers, broadcast journalism, and media literacy in our schools. EditStock can provide your organization with prizes, sponsorship, and film judging. Please contact us with the details of your event.
Non-Profits
EditStock supports a variety of groups and causes related to providing education and opportunities for people entering the film business. Non-profits are not eligible for the affiliate program. They need to purchase multi-user licenses the same way schools do. However, EditStock can also make donations of footage for contests, judge festivals, provide students with feedback, or other opportunities in exchange for marketing and advertising, specifically though links on your website and email blasts to members.
Not Eligible for Affiliate Partnerships
The following types of organizations are not eligible to participate in partnership plans with EditStock.
Education Centers include high schools, colleges, universities, and private vocational schools. Unfortunately, you guys are our primary customers. We encourage schools to purchase our multi-user educational licenses. The good news is that a portion of each sale is paid to the indie filmmakers whose projects you purchase. Your order funds the community that your students will graduate into.
Adjunct Professors who pay out of pocket for EditStock projects don’t qualify. But we also don’t want you to pay out of pocket! Ask your school. They will usually get on board. If you really have to pay out of pocket, email us and we’ll make you a deal.
Freelance teachers working for schools or companies that create paid products. Please ask the school to purchase a license. Tell them that every filmmschool on earth uses EditMentor. They will do it, I promise. Businesses that sell technology products. You guys are also our customers and should head over to our business page to learn more about purchasing footage for your demos.
New influencers if you have industry connections or an audience of at least 1,000 people, then you qualify. If you’re just starting out then it’s a bit too early to partner just yet. Share some amazing content with your budding audience. We can’t wait to invite you soon.
