Nat Ho, Contributor of Unleashed

Nathaniel “Nat” Ho is a familiar face in Singapore’s entertainment industry, having cut his teeth as a model as well as an actor in MediaCorp until 2010, when he finally left the broadcasting station and subsequently debuted his self-composed EP, Unleashed in 2012. He has also appeared on multiple advertisements and TV commercials throughout the years.

Classically-trained in Piano, music was a constant companion throughout his school years, having been in the Music Elective Programme in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) as well as being a part of the International Award-winning Choir in Anglo-Chinese Junior College.  His craft as a performer was further honed in the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company, where he was awarded the “Most Promising Artiste” Award.

Nat was one of the finalist of the inaugural Singapore Idol contest in 2004. Thereafter, he landed his first acting role in the Channel 5 drama, Shooting Star. Following that, he was offered the lead role in a local feature film, Smell of Rain

In 2005, he was officially signed on with MediaCorp and was then selected for a supporting role in the Channel 8 drama, Honour and Passion, in 2007. In the same year, he was nominated for the “Best Newcomer” award in MediaCorp’s Star Awards 2007. He then earned the “Favourite Male TV Character” in 2010’s MediaCorp’s Star Awards for the role he played in the 2009 Channel 8 drama, The Dream Catchers.

After the release of his first studio album, Unleashed, Nat left MediaCorp and Singapore in 2013 for Taiwan in a move to forge and expand his career as a singer and songwriter. There, he released his first Mandarin album, Second Male Lead, in 2014.

Having been casted as the leading role in Singapore’s first long-form drama, Tanglin, on Channel 5 in 2015, he took a break from his musical career in Taiwan to return to Singapore to assume his role as “Jay” in the drama.

Nat is more than just a performing artist, he is also a successful entrepreneur with successful businesses in men’s fashion and F&B industry.

Besides acting and singing, Nat also enjoys dancing, swimming and snuggling with his cat.
