Description

Prison inmate and convicted cop killer Billy gets a surprise visit from his lawyer, Evan. Evan suggests Billy take a new “groundbreaking” drug that will render him temporarily insane, potentially shortening his life sentence as a result. At first, Billy refuses; but after a heartbreaking conversation with his daughter, Sarah, he decides he has nothing to lose.

Director's Note

“Crime,” the first half of SERVED COLD, includes two one-on-one dialog scenes with basic coverage and no blocking — a perfect fit for beginners. Still, there’s interesting editing to be done, mostly involving the removal of superfluous dialog (four minutes of dialog is too much for any film, let alone a short one). Editors should also be careful not to cross the 180* degree line, since that error appears in some of the footage.

Please note this project contains foul language, which is why we gave it an “R” rating.
